Vormsi maraton

Vormsi Marathon VIII is a two-day running event on Vormsi Island, taking place on July 31 and August 1 near Sviby Harbor. Participants can choose between a marathon or half-marathon distance on both days, with routes mainly on paved roads on Vormsi Island. The routes are marked, and timing is done with electronic chip timing. After the run, there is an opportunity to socialize, enjoy a sauna, and have warm soup at the finish. The event is small and friendly, suitable for both experienced runners and amateurs.

Start and finish are located in front of the sales kiosk near Sviby Harbor. There is no route support; supplies can be replenished at the Hullo store. The marathon has timing at one intermediate point and at the finish, while the half-marathon is timed only at the finish. Every finisher receives a commemorative medal. After the run, participants can socialize and use the sauna. The finish on Saturday closes at 16:45; on Friday, the finish remains open as long as needed. The purchased ticket is valid for one or both days. It is not possible to complete both distances in one day. The event is a two-day run with no route support; overnight accommodation can be in tents or camping, with transportation from Rohuküla.
