The Holstre-Paistu Road Race in memory of Hanno Priks will take place on Saturday, August 9, 2025. This running event, which originated 26 years ago from Hanno Priks's idea, has grown from a small community event into a beloved tradition. In 2025, there will be changes to the course: runners will no longer be able to use the Leopold-Pullerits gravel road, and the starting point has been moved a couple of hundred meters back to the Holstre school stadium. The distance will remain 5 km, and the finish will be in front of the Paistu village square.
Highlights
- The initiator and leader of the running event, Hanno Priks, passed away on November 17, 2023, which is why the race is now named "Holstre-Paistu Road Race in Memory of Hanno Priks."
- The course route has changed, as participants can no longer use the gravel road at the 3-kilometer mark, but will run directly along the Paistu-Holstre highway.
- The distance remains 5 km, and the finish line is in the same location in front of the Paistu village square.
